Ten years after the disappearance of Romolo Palombelli, his grandson François made the documentary Jo Sindaco, which retraces the life of a politically committed man, active both locally and as an administrator at the municipal and provincial levels. Mayor of Cori from the 1960s to the 1990s, he contributed through his administrative work to completing the city’s reconstruction after the destruction of World War II, modernizing its civil infrastructure, and fostering territorial development.

Between footage shot in Cori and historical archives, the director navigates the time that separates him from a period that gave him a happy childhood, reconnecting both with his grandfather and with his hometown, which he left more than a decade ago.
